Welcome Baby!

Hello again!  Have I mentioned how much inspiration I get from participating in challenges?  I know that I have (on several occasions).  Well today is no exception.  The Fusion Challenge this week was just what I need to create a couple of sweet baby cards.  Take a look at the challenge board…

I decided to play with both the sketch and the photo today.  Here’s the card I came up with…

The pretty patterned paper I used is from Lawn Fawn’s Flower Market 6 x 6 paper pack.  I really like how the petite floral and thin stripes coordinate so well.  Again, I’m using some retired SU stamped images here. The cute rabbit is from Fabled Friends.  I created his little gingham coat by paper piecing.  The black buttons are tiny pearls colored black. The sentiment, from the Well Said stamp set, is heat embossed.

As what happens often, I wonder how the card would look in a different color.  Since the card above would clearly be for a baby boy, I created another in a more gender neutral color.

As always, thanks for taking a look at my cards.  I truly appreciate it.

Take care,

Rosanne

Sweet Easter Blessings

I’m wrapping up my Easter card making with this card featuring a sweet bunny (Newton’s Nook)  and an Easter Blessings banner (Hello Bluebird).  I’ve really enjoyed pulling out a few different seasonal sets this year along with adding a new one or two.

The inside is embellished with a pretty border die (Stampin’ Up!).  I also embellished the envelope flap with the same die and paper.  I really like the coordinated look of both.

The Card Concept is having an Easter Blessings challenge.  My card inspiration came from the blue gingham bunny along with the Easter Blessings sign.

Due to family schedules, we’re celebrating Easter a week early on Sunday. So the eggs are dyed, the baskets filled, the Egg Hunt planned and now the cards are complete.  I hope you are looking forward to a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.

Easter Blessing to you,

Rosanne

An Eggstra Special Easter Card

It’s been a dreary, rainy day here in PA.  So in other words, the perfect day to craft.  How’s that for finding a silver lining!  I need a few more Easter cards to send out next week, so I went with a set I used quite a bit this year, Lawn Fawn’s Egg-stra Special Easter stamp set and coordinating dies.  I just love the sweet basket of eggs.

The basket is doing double duty as it’s adhered to the inside of the card and framed by a die cut scalloped oval.  After coloring the eggs, I added some glitter stickles for a pretty sparkle.  I also added glossy accents to the jelly beans on the open egg.  Simple little details that make a big difference!  The sentiment is stamped in black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

And here’s a view of the opened card.  The patterned paper is also from Lawn Fawn.

I’m playing along with the Just Us Girls Word Week Challenge...

Thanks for stopping by today!

Clean and Simple Sympathy

Hello and happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going well.  I’m back with a CAS sympathy card.  I try to keep a few of these cards on hand so I can send them in the most timely manner when the need arises.  I also try to keep them peaceful yet pretty.  I think today’s card fits that bill…

I pulled some of my retired Stampin’ Up! products to create this card.  The front of the card base is embossed with SU Quilt Top embossing folder.  The floral image is cut from SU True Love DSP and backed with a piece of blue vellum from my stash.  I used dimensionals to pop the image.  The sentiment is heat embossed, cut and glued across the floral image.  I also embossed the enveloped flap.

I like to give the inside some special treatment as well.  Here I used another floral image colored and cut from the same DSP and a strip of Balmy Blue Cardstock to embellish the inside.  The sentiment is from an older CTMH stamp set. I think it’s perfectly simple for this type of card.

I’m playing along with this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge

I chose the top row across: Sympathy, Embossing, Flowers

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care,

Rosanne
