Just for Fun!

Hi there…after a couple of busy weeks, I’m happy to be back creating.  Whenever I need a creative jump start, I look for a few challenges.  They’re usually just the inspiration I need and today’s card is a perfect example of that.  The Paper Players have a great theme challenge this week.

I knew exactly which stamp set I was going use…Stampedous Frog Yoga.  I’ve had this set for quite some time and even had some of the frogs already colored just waiting to be popped on a card.

I decided my meditating frog needed some kind of “zen” background.  I chose the Captivating Mandala stencil from My Favorite Things and stenciled it with  Distress Oxide Inks.  I cut the tiny cupcakes from retired SU Birthday Memories DSP to go along with the sentiment.  I also stenciled a corner of the envelope.

Here’s a peek into the inside of the card with another funny sentiment.

I often make cupcakes to take to friends and family.  I’ll save this card to go with a sweet gift of cupcakes.

Thanks for checking in today!

Baskets, Bunnies and Blooms…Oh My!

Welcome to another cross country creative CASEing (Copy and Selectively Edit) adventure with Karen Hallam in CA and myself here in PA.  Each month, Karen and I take a turn CASEing the other’s card.  This month, I chose the springtime theme: baskets, bunnies & blooms to CASE.

Today I created a mini slimline Easter card that measures 6 1/2″ x 3 1/2″.  The card base is SU Fresh Freesia card stock.  The next two panels are die cut from Spellbinders July 2021 Large Die of the Month kit.  I sponged a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink on the top panel.  I built the cute Easter scene using MFT’s Grassy Fields dies along with images stamped and die cut from Lawn Fawn’s Eggstra Special Easter stamps and dies.  Lastly, for a little bit of sparkle, I added some diamond stickles to the eggs.

If you haven’t already done so, please head west to see Karen’s take HERE on our springtime theme.

I’m also playing along with this week’s Tic Tac Toe #153 Challenge...

I chose the 2nd row across:  Die Cuts, Coloring, Easter Bunny

and the 3rd column down:  Green, Easter Bunny, Flowers

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an enjoyable day.

Take care,

Rosanne

Happy Easter, Happy Spring!

In my effort to banish winter, if only in my mind and on this blog, I created another sweet spring card.  Today’s card features an adorable image from Newton’s Nook:  Woodland Springs.  There are several other images in this set that are equally as cute which I hope to use soon.  The sentiment is the same I used yesterday, SU: Timeless Tulips.  The pretty plaid paper is from a Lawn Fawn Petite Paper Pack.

Here’s the sketch inspiration:  The Paper Players Sketch Challenge #PP580

I hope your week is going well…we’re halfway to the weekend!

Take care,

Spring Bunny Basket

Hello March!  I’m officially turning the page on winter and kicking off this new month with a cheerful Easter card.  The basket is a large wooden stamp that I’ve had for-ever.  The flowers are stamped and cut from Lawn Fawn’s Fab Flowers stamps and dies.  The cute little bunny is also from a Lawn Fawn set: Eggstra Special Easter.  The sentiment came from SU Timeless Tulips.

My inspiration for this card came from Just Us Girls Photo Week #621

…and the Tic Tac Toe #tttc150 challenge

I chose the first row across:  Pastel Colors, Designer Paper, Die Cut Punch

Thanks very much for stopping by today.

Take care,

Rosanne
