Celebrate Sunflowers Slimline

Since today is the last day of summer, I’m sneaking in one more summery sunflower card. Today’s card is a slimline featuring the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle and a classic gingham pattern from the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper collection. Sunflowers and red gingham…perfectly summery!

Materials & Measurements

Very Vanilla card base: 8 1/2″ x 7″, scored at 3 1/2″
Real Red card stock: 8 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ & 8 3/8″ x 3 3/8″ (inside)
Toile Tidings DSP: 8″ x 3″
Very Vanilla card stock: 8 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ (inside)

Details

The sunflowers were created by stamping the large sunflower on Bumble Bee card stock in Bumble Bee ink. The leaves are stamped on Old Olive card stock in Old Olive ink. They were completed with the Sunflower dies.
The sunflowers were then glued to the Toile Tidings DSP and trimmed.
The DSP layer is glued to the Real Red card stock panel.
A piece of 1/4″ Bumble Bee ribbon is wrapped around the center of these panels and then popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Lovely You stamp set, is stamped on Very Vanilla card stock and punched with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. I matted this with another label punched with Real Red card stock and adhered it to the center of the card with dimensionals.

The inside sentiment, from the Country Home stamp set, is stamped in Early Espresso ink and the sunflower is stamped in Bumble Bee ink.

Welcome to another edition of CASEing (Copy and Selectively Edit) Coast to Coast with Karen Hallam at Karen’s Stamping Habit. Each month, Karen, who lives in CA and I, from PA, take a turn at CASEing each other’s project. This month it was my turn to create a card to inspire Karen. You can see Karen’s card HERE.

For my card today, I pulled out a seasonal favorite, Harvest Hellos.

Materials & Measurements

Very Vanilla thick card stock: 81/2″ x 5 1/2″
Crumb Case card stock: 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ & 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside)
Plaid Tidings DSP: 5 1/4″ x 4″
Very Vanilla card stock: 5″ x 3 3/4″ (inside)

Details

Glue the DSP panel to the Crumb Cake card stock and adhered both to the Very Vanilla card base. NOTE: I used a piece of white fun foam cut a little smaller than the Crumb Cake panel. To cover a large area, I find the fun foam gives an even dimension. Smaller dimensionals sometimes look bumpy and to cover the whole card front, you need a lot of them.
I stamped each pumpkin on Very Vanilla card stock with Crumb Cake ink. Then I lightly sponged them with: Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sea Foam and Crumb Cake ink.
I punched them using the Apple Builder punch.

The leaves are stamped on Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive card stock with Old Olive ink and hand cut. The stem is punched with the Apple Builder Punch.
I created the swirly stems with some floral wire I had on hand.
The pumpkins are popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The larger leaves are cut from Old Olive card stock using the Gathered Leaves dies and tucked in between the pumpkins.
The sentiment is from the Country Home stamp set and is stamped in black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I hand cut the sentiment along with a black mat. This is also adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Lastly, I added a few clear epoxy droplets.

I used another sentiment from the Country Home stamp set for the inside.
Strips of DSP, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake card stock embellish the inside as well as the Very Vanilla envelope.

A Country Home Happy Harvest

Can you tell that I’m completely over summer even if the temperatures are not. I’m having such a good time creating Autumn cards and projects. I’m also enjoy mixing different stamps sets and Designer Series Paper patterns like in today’s card.

Materials & Measurements

Rich Razzleberry card base: 11 x 4 1/4″, score at 5 1/2″ & 2″ x 4″
Gold Foil: 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ & 2 1/8″ x 4″
Plaid Tidings DSP: 4″ x 5 1/4″

Details

Layer the DSP panel to the Gold Foil panel and then adhere them to the card base with dimensionals.
Glue the smaller piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock to the smaller piece of Gold Foil and glue to the card base.
Cut a Very Vanilla Oval from the Stitched Shapes dies and another about the same size from the Layering Ovals dies from Gold Foil.
Offset the ovals so a little of the Gold Foil peeks from the Very Vanilla oval.

I stamped the milk can from the Country Home stamp set and colored it with Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends.
The wheat is an image from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set. I colored them with the Crushed Curry Stampin’ Marker. I haven’t used my markers in quite sometime but they do come in handy for coloring smaller images.
After gluing the wheat to the back of the can, I popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals onto the ovals.
The pumpkin and leaves are cut from the Gilded Autumn DSP. I colored the leaves with Stampin’ Blends and used the Autumn Punch Pack to punch the oak and maple leaves. The pumpkins and small green leaves are hand cut.
The sentiment, from the Country Home stamp set, is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink. It’s trimmed and flagged at one end. This is also adhered with dimensionals.

The inside sentiment is from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set and is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink.
The inside and the envelope is embellished with a strip of DSP, Gold Foil and Rich Razzleberry card stock.

Beautiful Autumn Thank You Notes

I’m ready to say goodbye to summer. This certainly wasn’t a normal summer by a long stretch for us and I’m not nearly as sad to let it go as I normally would be. On the bright side, I’ve been playing with some of my new products from the August-December mini catalog. One of the sets that I’m really enjoying right now is the Beautiful Autumn bundle. This bundle consists of the Beautiful Autumn stamp set and coordinating, Autumn Punch Pack.

I created a set of six Thank You notes…2 each of 3 different patterns from the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper collection.

Materials & Measurements

Very Vanilla card base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Very Vanilla card stock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ (embossed)
Plaid Tidings DSP: 5 1/4″ x 2″
Bumble Bee, Rich Razzleberry & Pumpkin Pie card stock: 5 1/4″ x 1/8″, cut 2 of each color

Details

Emboss the 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Very Vanilla card stock using the Tasteful Textures 3D embossing folder.
Glue the DSP pattern to the center of the embossed panel, adding the think strips of color coordinated card stock to the create a border.

Using a die from the Painted Labels dies, cut the “wreath” out in Soft Suede card stock.
Cut a stitched circle from Very Vanilla card stock using a die from the Stitched Shapes dies.
Stamp the sentiment onto the stitched circle in Early Espresso ink. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set. However, I cut the words apart in order to fit them on the circle. You can easily line them back up to stamp them on the same line.
The stitched circle is glued to the wreath and then popped on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To decorate the wreath, I stamped most of the small images from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set in Early Espresso. This is a 2 step stamp set (say that fast!), so it was fast and easy to get color onto the leaves and pinecones. Not to mention, it was so relaxing as I used this method to stamp a couple of pages of these little images.
I was able to punch out the maple and oak leaf with the coordinating punch from the Autumn Punch Pack. The other images were hand cut.
All these images are glued directly to the wreath.
Lastly, I created bow using Linen Thread and adhered it with a mini glue dot.

I used DSP and card stock scraps to embellish the envelope…so simple yet makes such a pretty statement.
